The age of E-Health is upon us and creates the vision of patients, doctors and hospitals around the world sharing medical records securely through the Internet. However, the vision is currently just that… a vision. There are public reports about hospitals adopting EHRs but in reality only about 1.5% of hospitals are embracing EHRs and the systems that they are using, work on a “closed loop” and are not interoperable. This is important information to know before sinking $19.2 1 into building more e-health solutions that do the same.
Creating a completely interoperable system is a very complex task. There are many pieces that need to come together for it to work. At Health Xcel we believe in a “HIGH PROBABILITY OF SUCCESS” solution which is centralized and where there are federated security and regulations, that works equally well on local levels as they do for the global populace and that can grow in the decades to come giving every man, woman and child a BETTER, HEALTHIER, future.
